EVS Metal, Inc., a U.S-based precision metal fabricator, just acquired a new Amada LCG 315 AJ Series Fiber Laser Cutting System for their fabrication facility in Riverdale, New Jersey.
According to sources, the unit is a versatile machine that features some of the market-leading technology that is available for the completion of tough metal fabrication processes. These include a helical rack and pinion drive system, a high-speed cutting head, and an ergonomic AMNC 3i Control touchscreen, which is said to be the fastest and most responsive display that Amada has ever released.
“The decision to invest in the Amada LCG 3015 AJ Fiber Laser was not taken lightly,” stated Joseph Amico, the co-founder and vice president of EVS Metal. “But the quality and versatility of the machine in comparison to other options currently at market made the choice an easy one,” he added.
Particularly, the LCG 3015 AJ is specifically made for high-precision and high-speed metal fabrication operations. Its exceptional performance has enabled the NJ facility of EVS Metal to improve its services and broaden its scope of material, which will now include both brass and copper.
In terms of specifications, the new laser cutting system utilises ⅓ of the electricity required by the same wattage CO2 laser system and is also three times more productive and efficient. It gets a small footprint as well, which means that it only takes up less workshop floor space. In addition, the Amada equipment is also well known for its incredible speed. This, along with the machine’s quick setup, enables the EVS Metal’s operators to become more flexible and to finish projects much faster.
